There are several leak testing methods, tracer gases and leak detectors available. How can one identify the solution suited best for a certain application both from a technical and a financial perspective?

Leak testing projects normally begin with a lot of questions. But once you start analysing the progress of such projects you will see a typical structure.

Based on hundreds of successful leak detection projects we have identified seven key steps:

1. Structured analysis
   Checklist regarding both key technical and economical parameters of the specific project
2. Proposal
   Solution proposal following the project specification. The proposal will be worked out based on our application database and the Leakulator simulation tool.
3. Proposal verification
   Proving that the proposal is able to fulfil the given specification. Verification can be done based on tests in our leak detection lab, on-site tests or our reference database
4. Preparation
   Structured preparation of the working environment. Checklist regarding all necessary and recommend on-site preparations
5. Training
   Operator training both on the instrument but often more important on the application.
6. Process optimisation
   On-site assistance for improving efficiency and quality. Recommendations for cost of ownership reduction
7. Maintenance
   Preventive actions for maximum uptime
