The intrinsically safe EXTRIMA leak detector brings the adixen accuracy, flexibility and simplicity into potentially explosive environments. It fulfills the requirements for use in Zone 0, classification Ex ia IIC T3 with ATEX, IECEx, CSA and NEPSI certificates.

The EXTRIMA is designed to withstand rough handling in the field and is easily carried with a shoulder strap. It has a rechargeable Lithium ion battery providing up to 7 hours operation.

The EXTRIMA is the ultimate choice for a wide range of industrial leak detection applications such as leak testing on fuel system on airplanes. For the process industry, in the petrochemical area, production plants and on oil rigs the EXTRIMA is the perfect tool for locating leaks on all types of valves, joints and other components. Leakages up to a size of 2 · 10^-6 mbar · l/s can be found by using the inexpensive and safe standard-mixture of 5% hydrogen in nitrogen.
